All is set for the hosting of this year edition of
Lasgidi International Dance Festival, Nigeria’s biggest gathering of
dancers, between 2nd and 6th of December, 2013 at the Little Theatre, Artistes
Village, National Theatre, Lagos.

Akpan, at a press conference in Lagos said the festival provided platform to
showcase contemporary dances and also learn from experienced dancers emerging
from different parts of Africa.
According to him, "Lasgidi International Dance
Festival is unique contemporary dance festival, the first of its kind in
Nigeria, which stated in 2001.
“The festival exhibits Nigerian contemporary dance while
bringing together experiences from other African countries and the rest of the
world."
The opening ceremony will feature Nigerian famous
musicians such as the Lion, King Ibro Zulezoo, Stan Iyke amongst others.
This year edition is supported by Goethe Institute,
Nigeria and Spanish Embassy, CASA Africa, ESPACIO EN BLANCC, ACCION, NCAC
amongst others.
